It's 3:10 A. M. I have been up since 2: A. M. Yesterday it was 4: A.M. It seems I can't get things off of my mind. This morning it's about a couple of people who have died so young. These people didn't deal drugs or do any other thing that would have made you think it was coming sooner or later. There have been quite a few recently that have passed on from those situations around here lately.
One person was married to an old classmate of mine. She left our Junior year and went to Highland. I've only seen her twice now in about 11 years. Her husband died Friday in his sleep @ the age of 27. Bronchitis was the culprit. He was working in North Dakota w/out any family around (to my knowledge). So, please pray for the Baldridge family. They have a 14 month old.
Another was a girl that was two years older than me (30). She went to the same school I did all of her life also and it is small. She grew up having seizures, but after she graduated I didn't know how she was doing with them. She was taking a bath, had one, and drowned. Her and her husband have two or three young ones. So, please pray for the Perkins family. I don't know her married name. She died Wednesday I believe.
So, it makes you think who's next. They die in three's don't they? We can ask why, but we're not supposed to. God has his reasons for all things. You can only encourage that person to look to him for the strength you need and to those he gave you to love.
On this same line, in May my class, 1998, will have their 10 yr reunion. Back in 2001 we had a classmate die of meningitis. He was healthy as a horse and did what everyone else does when they think they have the flu. It was too late. That was hard and when I think on it, it still is. I went to school with him for 13 yrs. Got out my kindergarten class picture and I'm right next to him. He was one of the nicest guys, but I still didn't know a whole lot about him. Didn't even know how dedicated to the Lord he was. I was glad to find that out @ his funeral. He was a saved individual so his destination was better than this old world.
I don't know the fate of the other two. I would like to say that the girl was saved having known where they attended. She had the teaching at least. But the man I have no clue. Where will you go when you pass from this world---anytime?
